In the context of rapid transformations in the professional world and ongoing higher education reforms in Morocco, the integration of transversal skills in universities has become a major challenge for pedagogical transformation. Skills such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, and adaptability are now essential for preparing students to face complex and uncertain environments. In this perspective, teacher training plays a crucial role in facilitating the effective integration of these competencies into teaching practices.
This paper proposes a reflection on continuous professional development strategies that can support this transition, particularly through the development of communities of practice, the use of appropriate methodological tools, and the role of institutional structures dedicated to pedagogical innovation. The analysis also highlights the structural and cultural barriers that may hinder this transformation, while identifying realistic levers of action to promote sustainable teaching practices adapted to the contemporary challenges of Moroccan higher education.
