Acceptabilité technologique du testing adaptatif par ordinateur (TAO) pour le diagnostic des conceptions erronées en sciences physiques

Misconceptions constitute one of the main obstacles to learning in physical sciences. Conceptual tests are widely recognized for their effectiveness and validity in identifying these misconceptions; however, their traditional paper-and-pencil administration is time-consuming and raises difficulties related to correction and immediate feedback to learners. In this context, computer-adaptive testing (CAT) appears as a relevant alternative, as it adapts items to the learner’s level of understanding, eliminates unnecessary questions, saves time, and provides automated analysis of results. This study therefore aims to analyze the acceptability of a CAT system based on an adaptive version of the Force Concept Inventory, drawing on the Technology Acceptance Model. A survey conducted among physical science teachers, based on this model, was used to assess acceptance of the system. The results confirm an overall favorable acceptance of this technology.
