The repository of digital competences for the higher education profession presented in this article brings together the dimensions deemed essential for digital integration and a better understanding of digital competence, and will promote its development by all teachers. It also provides an up-to-date framework for policy development and capacity building in this constantly evolving field.
This reference tool is the result of a review and synthesis of a series of existing documents, policies and frameworks relating to digital skills in education and training. Two references in particular should be mentioned: on the one hand, the reference framework for digital skills drawn up as part of Quebec's digital action plan for education and higher education, published in April 2019; on the other hand, the reference framework for teachers' digital skills (DigCompEdu), published in December 2017 and produced on behalf of the European Commission.
